Join us on our special day!

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place on board the majestic Starship Aqua, departing from Man O'War Steps, on the Botanic Garden side of the Sydney Opera House. 

The ceremony will take place on the ship's upper deck to enjoy the magnificent views of Sydney Harbour! (sunscreen and sunnies are recommended, although we'll be undercover) 

The reception will be held indoors, in the lower deck of the ship, which is fully enclosed. 

The Starship Aqua will depart from Man O'War Steps, on the Botanic Garden side of the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Opera House is easily accessible by taxi, train, tram, buses or ferries. Help us get the party started as scheduled! The ship will leave at 4:00pm sharp from the Man O'War Steps, on the Botanic Garden side of the Sydney Opera House and, unfortunately, the captain will be unable to wait for late guests. We recommend arrive to the steps no later than 3:30pm to prepare and board as scheduled. 

If you are not using public transport, please consider using taxis or rideshare services as parking around Circular Quay is limited and costly (plus you won't want to drive on the night, so you can enjoy some drinks responsibly).

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat (no special shoes are required to be onboard).

After the ceremony, there will be opportunities for pictures in the upper deck, where finger foods and beverages will be served.  

Yes, there are! If you are arriving to Sydney earlier or staying over the weekend, please consider joining us at the 'Welcome Dinner' or 'Farewell Brunch' listed in the 'Schedule' section above (Please note: both events are at your own cost and are not part of the wedding reception)

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list due to the ship capacity, so our celebration is strictly invitation only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

We are delighted to have you joining us for this celebration of our love and there will be a wishing well.

It will be early winter in Sydney and the reception will go into the night across the beautiful Sydney Harbour. While the lower deck of the ship is fully enclosed, make sure you have enough warm clothes on the day/night. In the unlikely event of rain, we'll be protected from the elements in the lower deck. 

The ship will have ramps for easy and safe boarding and disembarkation, which can accommodate a standard-size wheelchair. Please note, however, the upper deck and the facilities (bathrooms) are only accessible by stairs (no lift). 

There will be a seating plan on board so you can find your seat allocation. 

We'll enjoy a beautiful 3-course sit-down dinner at the wedding reception. The menu has been curated by the renowned Startship Aqua chef, but please advise us of any dietary requirements in your RSVP, so we can try our best to cater for your needs. 

A selection of wines and beers will be offered at the reception, as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee. Additional drinks to those offered at the reception will be available for purchase at the ship's bar (card/cash accepted). 

Absolutely! Please make sure you include your request for songs/music in your RSVP so our DJ can cater for the range of musical tastes on board!

While we don't have anything booked for after the reception, for those wanting to keep celebrating our special day, there will be plenty of options for us to continue dancing and partying the night away once we've disembarked! 

The official reception will finish at 9pm and disembarkation will take place at the Man O'War Steps, on the Botanic Garden side of the Sydney Opera House. Please note that once on board, the captain will be unable to dock again until disembarkation (emergencies excluded).  

The Starship Aqua is one of the larger resident ships in Sydney Harbour. While some movement is expected (we'll be cruising, after all!), the ship is totally safe and will be steady enough to enjoy the event (motion-sickness tablets may assist those who may be concerned about seasickness)
